Poetry: Flames' Lament to the Water

I dedicate this to my father...

Flames’ Lament to the Water

I’m standing on a wall,

Watching your shore, infinite tall.

Your waves again touch my foot,

Even they have no reason to soothe.

Once I was a luminous flame,

You were the water, seemed the same.

Many things deep in your name,

I dove into the depths to find them.

Long ago, we vowed to be together,

That shall last forever!

I became ash from an ember,

While you flew away from my heart.

Now the tears aligning in my eyes,

Embroidering the lace of fate on my face.

Even in my weeping, you are with me!

Tell me, how can you be,

Both in my soul and in my blood!
